The Hidden Dangers of Food Coloring Dyes
How many of you know how toxic food colors are? It is shocking to me that it’s legal to allow this crap in our food! ESPECIALLY food that is marketed directly to our children.
I find it infuriating that so many of these foods are dye free in Europe, yet here in the States not enough people are aware or are CARE for these companies to make the change!
What is our obsession with seeing brightly colored fake foods?!
I remember the first time I personally witnessed a reaction to these dyes in our 3rd child. (Pictured below with some amazing pastries she made). She was right at a year old and ate some candy at a birthday party. Shortly after eating the candy, she some crazy hallucinations and it was TERRIFYING! We had been avoiding chemicals for years at that point, but didn’t think a little would really hurt.....yikes! She had a couple of these reactions before we made the connection. When I began my own in-depth research of the side effects, I was in disbelief that these toxic chemicals are added to so many mainstream processed foods.
The Dangerous Impact of Food Coloring👇🏻
Americans are now eating 5 times more food dye than in 1955.🤮
Many parents have observed their child’s behavior improve drastically when taken off food dyes, especially 👹 Red #40. Because of this widespread anecdotal evidence, the editors at Special Education Degree decided to do an investigative report on the negative effects of food dye’s in human beings.

My number 1 piece of advice is TALK TO YOUR KIDS! Read them these articles, watch documentaries together and TEACH them about nutrition! We never have issues with our kids begging for junk food because we have taught them WHY we avoid it! We absolutely buy natural and organic candy, and I’ll share more info on our go-to’s in a future post.
I’m raising world-changers, and I promise if you respect your kids enough to teach them the truth, they’ll rise up and blow you away with how much they care! My 13 year old son can make everything from homemade donuts to pizza. From the time he was a young tot playing t-ball he declined the nasty junk offered after games. He even tried to teach his fellow teammates about the ingredients in the Gatorade and candy!
It is also INSANITY that we allow our kids to have these poisons and then MEDICATE them when the side effects show instead of just not allowing it in their systems to begin with!
It really is so easy to avoid food dyes. Especially with so many delicious organic alternatives available. Read your labels! Make this a PRIORITY in yours and your children’s lives. Better yet, buy organic!
Stay tuned for my next post on junk food and the connection to ADHD, ADD, anxiety and depression.
